Rug Washing
ATC uses a dedicated rug washing process designed specifically for area rugs, Orientals, and fine textiles. It is not the same method used for wall-to-wall carpets. We deep clean each rug through full submersion washing, centrifuge rinsing, and controlled humidity drying, restoring your rug and guaranteeing 100% odor removal.
For rugs that are more delicate/antique and may be subject to bleeding/crocking, we offer other cleaning methods as well.
Most rugs need professional washing every 12–18 months, depending on traffic, pets, and indoor air quality. Regular cleaning helps prevent fiber damage, discoloration, and odor buildup.
All of our pricing is by the square foot and depends on the size and material of the rug. In general, our pricing ranges from $2-$5 per square foot. We’ll provide an exact quote before cleaning. Pickup and delivery rates are based on your location.
We clean every type of rug! You can have peace of mind knowing your wool, jute, sisal, Persian, silk, viscose, cotton, synthetic, or antique rug is in the safe hands of professionals who know how to properly care for your rug! We adjust our method based on each rug’s fiber and dye type. Every rug is tested for colorfastness and stability before cleaning.
Yes! Pet Issues are our specialty! We guarantee 100% Odor Removal and use cleaning solutions designed to break down urine crystals within the rug’s fibers. Our washing process can remove any urine, feces, vomit and odor from your rug.
After washing, rugs are spun in a centrifuge (which gets it about 95% dry in 3 minutes) and then hung at an angle in our climate-controlled drying room to ensure they dry evenly, odor-free, and completely.
Every rug that comes into our shop is returned to our customer 100% dry and odor-free!
Absolutely. We use pH-balanced, fiber-specific cleaning solutions that are designed for rugs and are safe for silk, wool, and viscose rugs. Every rug is individually inspected before and after cleaning.
Yes! We offer free pickup and delivery throughout Long Island and Queens. If you live anywhere else in the tri-state area, we have recently partnered with a courier service who can also pick up and deliver your rug.

Yes! We offer Luxe Fabric Protection, a PFAS-Free, non-toxic, water-based protector that repels spills and stains while keeping rugs soft and breathable. Safe for homes with kids and pets.

Fiber Protection
Luxe Fabric Protection is a professional-grade, PFAS-Free fabric protector applied by ATC Rug Washing. It creates a breathable, invisible barrier around each fiber that helps repel liquids, block stains, and release soil more easily during cleaning. When spills occur, they bead up on the surface instead of soaking in — giving you time to blot them away before they stain.
PFAS (pronounced “pee-fass”) are man-made chemicals that have been used for many years to make things resist water, oil, and stains. You can find them in items like non-stick pans, waterproof clothes, and old fabric protectors.
They’re called “forever chemicals” because they don’t break down easily and can stay in the environment (and even in our bodies) for a very long time. Over time, this buildup can be harmful to people, animals, and nature.
That’s why ATC’s Luxe Fabric Protection is PFAS-Free and safe for your home, kids, and pets. It gives you the same strong stain protection without the harmful chemicals.
Yes! Luxe is completely PFAS-Free, non-toxic, water-based, and non-flammable. Once applied and cured, it’s safe for families, children, and pets. Unlike more popular products that contained “forever chemicals,” Luxe delivers long-lasting protection without harming your indoor air quality or the environment.
Not at all. Luxe is designed to preserve the natural beauty and texture of every material it’s applied to — from wool rugs and silk upholstery to cotton and linen. It dries clear, leaves no residue or stiffness, and maintains the original softness and color of your textiles.
Protection typically lasts 12–24 months, depending on fabric type and use. We recommend reapplication when water no longer beads on the surface during a quick spill test. High-traffic furniture or rugs may need more frequent applications to maintain full protection.
We offer both. Rugs are usually protected at our Long Island Rug Spa after professional washing, while furniture, upholstery, and wall-to-wall carpet can be treated on-site in your home. We can also apply protection to rugs in your home. Our team uses fine-mist application equipment to ensure full, even coverage with zero overspray or odor.
Luxe doesn’t make fabrics completely stain-proof, but it dramatically improves your ability to clean up spills before they set in. It’s highly effective against stains like wine, coffee, juice, and pet accidents — while also helping fibers resist everyday soil and grime. It gives you valuable time to blot, not panic.

Yes. We use gentle, professional-grade products that are safe for families and won’t leave behind sticky residues or harsh chemical smells.
Most fabrics and carpets dry within 4–6 hours, depending on humidity, airflow, and material. Leather and wood floors are dried and conditioned on-site before we leave, so there’s no downtime.
Absolutely. After cleaning, we can apply our exclusive Luxe Fabric Protection — a PFAS-Free, non-toxic protectant that helps repel spills and stains on carpets, upholstery, and outdoor cushions. It’s completely safe for kids and pets once cured.
Yes. Our outdoor cushion cleaning service removes dirt, mildew, and sunscreen residue from outdoor fabrics. We can also apply fiber protection afterward to help prevent water and sun damage.
Please remove small items and clear the area you’d like cleaned. Our technicians handle moving light furniture as needed and protect walls, floors, and corners during the process to ensure a clean, safe workspace.
We proudly provide in-home cleaning throughout Nassau and Suffolk County, including parts of Queens. Pickup and delivery are available for rugs being washed at our facility, and all in-home cleanings are scheduled at your convenience.
