Certifications in the cleaning and restoration industry aren’t automatic. They require written and practical exams, continuing education, and demonstrated competency in the field. Here’s what our team has earned and why it matters when they’re in your home or business.
ARCS membership is reserved for companies whose primary business is rug cleaning — not carpet cleaners who occasionally clean rugs on the side. As ARCS members, we’ve demonstrated that area rug care is our craft, not an add-on service. Membership includes access to ongoing education, industry research, and a professional community of the top rug cleaners in the country.
The IICRC is the global standard-setting body for the cleaning and restoration industry. Our technicians carry IICRC certifications covering rug cleaning, carpet cleaning, upholstery, and water damage restoration. IICRC certification requires passing written and practical exams, and maintaining continuing education credits to stay current.
TCREI is an organization Pat Santoro Jr. co-founded in 2026 to advance the science and practice of textile cleaning through rigorous research, real-world education, and a four-tier professional certification program. TCREI exists to raise the floor for the entire industry — from entry-level technicians to master-level cleaners. ATC is a founding member and active contributor.

Restoration Dry Cleaners (RDC) is a tri-state specialist in the restoration cleaning of textiles and soft goods damaged by fire, smoke, water, mold, and soot with 24/7 emergency response across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. When a loss event affects a client’s home, ATC and RDC work together to ensure every textile is handled by the right specialist — from structural restoration down to the rugs on the floor.
CARPET CLEANING
BOWA Cleaning is a Long Island owner-operated carpet and upholstery cleaning company founded by David Brown in 2014 and the four-time consecutive winner of Best Rug Cleaner on Long Island by Best of Long Island (2023–2026). When a job calls for full-submersion area rug washing or specialty fiber care that goes beyond in-home cleaning, BOWA refers their clients to to us.
CARPET CLEANING
G’s Carpet Cleaning is a New York-based specialist in carpet, tile, wood, stone, and upholstery cleaning. ATC and G’s maintain an active partnership, sharing jobs, exchanging referrals, and collaborating on clients whose homes need both in-home surface cleaning and specialty rug washing at our facility.

SteamPro NY is a Nassau and Suffolk County cleaning company operating since 2004 — specializing in carpet, upholstery, air duct, tile, and hardwood cleaning using non-toxic, biodegradable solutions safe for homes with children, pets, and chemical sensitivities. ATC and SteamPro maintain an active referral partnership. When their clients’ area rugs need full-submersion washing or specialty fiber care, they come to us.

Steam Squad is a certified Long Island carpet and tile cleaning company trusted by thousands of homeowners and businesses across the island for deep, eco-friendly steam cleaning. ATC and Steam Squad work together as referral partners. When their clients need area rugs pulled and properly washed at a dedicated facility, they send them our way.

Dee’s Cleaning Inc. is a Nassau County residential and commercial cleaning company owned and operated by Diana Castaneda. Dee’s is known for meticulous detail work, customized cleaning schedules, and a client-first approach that keeps customers coming back week after week. When Dee’s clients need their rugs properly washed rather than cleaned in place, Diana refers them to ATC!

Mackie’s Detailing is Long Island’s premier automotive protection studio, led by Sean out of West Babylon with 15+ years of experience and a 4.9-star reputation for PPF, ceramic coating, and paint correction on everything from daily drivers to Lamborghinis. EQUIPMENT
Orbitec Solutions manufactures the equipment that makes professional rug washing possible at a high level: rug dusters, centrifuges, wash floors, drying towers, and rinse systems built specifically for area and oriental rug cleaning. Their equipment is what runs our facility, and the combination of high effectiveness, low maintenance, and hands-on support from the Orbitec team means our operation runs the way our clients expect it to.
