We start by thoroughly vacuuming your hardwood floors, then we use an automatic scrubbing machine with an alcohol-based cleaning solution to break up and remove all the residue, dirt, and allergens that are trapped on your flooring. This cleaning solution is extremely safe for wood flooring and evaporates quicker than water, leaving your flooring with less moisture than before we started the cleaning process. After this step we run an orbital machine with a soft cotton bonnet over your floors, which polishes and gives new life back to the existing polyurethane on your flooring.
SCREENING & RECOATING
During our pre-inspection of your floors before we begin cleaning we may notice that the existing polyurethane on your floors is in poor condition, either from many scratches in the flooring or just being “walked away” in high foot traffic areas in your home. When this happens we can perform the exact same cleaning process as above and then actually screen and recoat your floors with new water based polyurethane. This process is a great in between re-sanding floors and can often be performed in 1 DAY! In addition, this service offers:
